Calling all future Vaqueros! Come experience the excitement of Friday Night Lights with the Irvine High School Cheer program! Jr. Vaquero Night is a special event where young cheerleaders will spend the evening learning from the IHS Cheerleaders before performing at the Varsity Football Game against Portola High School.

Date: Friday, August 28th 

Time: 3:30 PM – 8:00/8:30PM

Location: Irvine High School - Practice Gym then Stadium

Cost: $75.00 - IUSD Employees $65.00

Your registration includes: T-shirt, poms, bow, dinner and admission to the football game. 

Jr Vaquero Night is open to all kids Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

💙 Event Schedule 💙

    3:30 PM – Check-In - Parents and cheerleaders will receive matching wristbands with their names and a corresponding number.           This number will be used during dismissal for a safe and organized check-out process.     

    4:00 PM – Cheer Training - Instruction will take place in the Practice Gym.

    5:30 PM – Dinner

    6:15 PM – Walk to Irvine Stadium

    6:30 PM – Jr. Vaquero Group Photo on the Football Field

    6:45 PM – Assemble for the Football Tunnel

    7:00 PM – Varsity Football Kickoff

    Dismissal - Approximately 8:00–8:30 PM

    Cheerleaders will be dismissed by grade level before the end of the second quarter. Please note that dismissal time is approximate.

💚 Parent Information 💚

• Admission to the football game is included for each registered cheerleader only.
• Parents, guardians, and additional family members who wish to attend the game must purchase their own tickets.
• If you need to pick up your child before dismissal, please find a parent volunteer wearing a green lanyard, and they will be happy to assist you.
• If your cheerleader will be picked up by another family, please indicate this during check-in.
